Today in the Fishroom ~ 07/08/08
For the last week, Jumbo hadn't been eating well. Nothing changed with his attitude. Nothing outwardly wrong with his appearance. I checked water for any problems...none. He was just not himself. I woke up Monday morning to find him dead. Needless to say...I'm heartbroken. Hard to believe you can develop feelings for a fish....but there it is. I've taken over 2000 photos of him since he was born. Six days after his 13th birthday. As with all things...this to will pass...but for today, I am going to mourn my pet.

I am very sorry for your loss. Not silly at all for having deep feelings for any pet. They are part of our family and will be remembered forever. With all those pictures you will have a very nice memories.

12 years is a long time for any relationship. Who says you can't have a relationship with your fish. He had personality and a rapport with you and it came through in your photos.
Sorry Mo.

I just saw this post tonight and I am sorry for your loss. I always enjoy your pictures and Jumbo was my favorite. I am sure that he had a great 13 years in your care. He certainly seemed to be a ham for the camera. Maybe you could post a few more shots of him for us.

Wow. That's a long time to have lived in captivity. I'm sure he had a good life as you were his owner. Gone but not forgotten (2000 pics ought to help with that). He's in a bigger pond now!

Sorry to read about your loss AMJ. We all could tell how much pride you took in him with the various pics and various short stories you share to us in regards to him. 13 year....that is quite the long time.
