Post Breeding and grow out tank !

hello
so i have found out that my yellow lab female is holding so i decided to use my 29 gall for breeding purposes
What environment should i provide for breeding?
how much light a day?
filtration ? (cascade 700)
how often feeding ?
powerhead?
light power?
i know most of stuff should be same as main tank but maybe you people pros in breeding have some "secrets "
thanks luke

ps : i am getting 1m+ 2 females of Aulonocara sp. "Lwanda" Red Top Lwanda for $45 good/bad?

The 29 gallon tank will be better off as a grow out tank. I think it is way to small for breeding most African Cichlids.

I agree with Mike a 29 gal does not have enough length (same footprint as a 20)to allow the females to escape an aggressive males advances when they need to. You can try it but you may run into some problems later.
If those Peacocks are an adult trio it was a great deal.

Although not ideal, many fish can be bred in a 29 gallon tank. I have spawned some of the smaller african cichlids in 10 and 5 1/2 gallon tanks.

I'm new to peacocks, but I've had 4 spawns in a few months and have one holding now, maybe two. They are in a 30 gallon breeder tank with lots of rockwork and clay pots cut in half. One male to 3 females. I have a connected drilled 10 gallon tank that I put the females that are holding. There is a pump in the 30 that fills the 10 and it overflows back to the 30. That way the water is always the same and the females are not overly stressed when I move them.
