Post PH indicator in the water

Hi,

this one might be a weird question, but I have a two year old and she squeezed the PH indicator in the tank. I will be changing the water at midnight when I get home now, but I just wondered if this can cause any harm to the fish.

I got some Mbuna in the tank and I'm just worried that the few hours they have to spend in that bluish solution might do them some damage.

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't worry too much about the fish. Most indicator solutions are harmless. The water turned blue because it is very alkaline. You should store your chemical solutions in a child-proof locked cabinet.

Thanks for that, IO feel somewhat releived now. I did a 90% change last night and a 50% change this morning. One good thing, I guess everything happens for a reason, there were 8 or 9 little glofish fry in there witth the mbunas that needed rescuring! :)

Luck it was in the tank and not the mouth. Lock it up.
