Re: Icky icky icky icky kapang zoop boing
Just an after thought. I feed a lot of my fish the NLS Thera garlic infused food. I generally feed all my new fish that for at least a month and then every now and then afterward. My thought is that the garlic would kill most if any internal parasites if they were present. Not sure if that is actually the case but it keeps my mind at ease. Any idea if that is the case and also do you think it would kill ick in a fish that had no signs of ick but may be a carrier of it?

My understanding has always been that the ich parasite is always present in an aquarium. And yet, the few times that I have had to deal with ich were due to a new unquarantined fish being added to a tank. It has never just developed on its own in any of my tanks.

Rob FYI, there is a copper mineral called Malachite Green, but it is not related at all to the Malachite Green organic chemical we use to treat Ich. I bought a 2.5 gram bottle of Malachite Green Oxalate and mixed up my own Malachite Green/Formalin solution. I have not used it in at least 15 years. Rockfish wrote: Mike how are things going It was looking pretty contained, but now it looks like 3 more tanks got infected. All in all, it's not so bad. I lost lots of large fish that were headed to market, but the breeders and fry/juvies were mostly spared.
